The IT consulting firm ERGOTEC has settled in a completely modernized old forge in Rahden in East Westphalia. The company has been dealing with the laws of ergonomics for more than 25 years. In IT, this means in concrete terms that it is about optimizing the human-machine interface. True to the motto "Feel at home in the office", ergonomics means for us the optimal alignment of the work environment to the personal needs of people. Against this background, the old forge shines in new splendor without losing its charm and the connection to the original craft.

“Good results come about in a good environment – characterized by team spirit, mutual trust and appreciation”, that is the philosophy of HWI IT. In order to be able to live the idea at work, the growing company from Malterdingen near Freiburg needed a correspondingly innovative room concept. The new office space is intended to promote agile and successful cooperation.
The spacious open-plan office supports the hybrid working model and, as requested by the customer, breaks down hierarchical structures.

With the energy concept that has been set up, werner works is striving towards the goal of CO2-neutral production and is implementing the building blocks as planned. For many years, the wood waste generated during production has been thermally reused in the company to generate the necessary heating energy and process heat. Therefore we have no need to purchase fossil fuels for heating. Most of the electricity required is now also generated from solar energy by a photovoltaic system on the roof of the factory building. The plan envisages equipping the other roof areas with solar panels as well.
We are thus continuing on the path we have taken towards a sustainable future and can manufacture even more environmentally friendly furniture for you at our Espelkamp site. If you would like to find out more about the sustainability of our products, please have a look here or speak to our sales department.

Today, the perfect workplace needs to do much more than simply provide a place to work. Consultants SmartStep demonstrate just how colourful, creative and diverse this can look. As the office space was expanded with the addition of further offices, a whole new range of opportunities also came into being.
With the ‘parkour’ cupboard booths from werner works, for example. Acoustically effective and with a power supply, if needed, they serve as a telephone box, a spontaneous meeting zone, a place to think and a coffee lounge – all in one – and sometimes also include storage space for stools.
April 2022
In our new catalogue, we show you many examples of modern office-space design with our parkour booths. The supplementary products such as the 'wardrobe element' and the 'coffee station, high table and plant station' end elements are new developments that enhance the range effectively in terms of both function and form.

The planning concept by the Kassel-based architectural firm Prof. Alexander Reichel involved joining together two buildings – the former main building, dating from 1982, and a listed post-war building situated at Ständeplatz 19. During the project planning and implementation, EB attached great importance to sustainable construction.
In all office zones, different 'parkour cupboard booths' offer the desired breakout spaces in the otherwise open office landscape.

Communication platform, seating podium or exhibition display – 'stepup' offers a playful freedom in space. The brilliance of the system is in the possibilities created by dimensionally coordinated cubic volumes of 4 basic elements. Using these 4 modules, for example, can either be used to build a platform tower at standing height or horizontally joined as a free-form seating landscape.
'stepup' presents a creative solution paired together with a remarkable visual composition.

A handful of seeds, a cultivated field, a rich harvest. Nothing against a little rural romance – but it is a bit dusty. Modern seeds have long been developed in hi-tech laboratories. Seeds are also the specialty of KWS, a traditional, independent family company in its 6th generation. KWS started its journey to be amongst the world‘s top seed manufacturers from its headquarters in rural Einbeck and is now opening a new office location – in the heart of Berlin.

The changing requirements of work mean that our living spaces are also changing: workstations to facilitate smart working are being set up in living rooms, halls or even in bedrooms. This often creates a demand for environments to be flexible because there is not always a separate workroom available.
'basic cap Home' combines storage space and workplace in a single piece of furniture. The minimalist design of the basic cap storage range in combination with the pull-out top panel as a worktop offers a comfortable place to work without sacrificing aesthetics.

With more than 300 workstations and an innovative room layout, BP shows how important it is to design working environments for the future. The offices have been successfully converted from one and two-person rooms into team worlds, creating team offices of around 400 m². Different working and meeting areas harmonise with quiet areas to retreat and take a break.
In the colourful meeting rooms, the standing-height caddies provide space for presentation documents on wheels.
