The Europcar Mobility Group, Europe’s leading car rental company with international mobility service providers in 133 countries, has moved into its new German headquarters in Hamburg. The headquarters of the Europcar Mobility Group Germany were relocated from the land-intensive outskirts of Langenhorn to a central transport hub in the Hanseatic city. They are now located in the Berliner Bogen, an internationally acclaimed glass and steel office building with state-of-the-art working conditions. Some 5,600 square metres of office space for around 310 workplaces extend over three levels at the new location. Its impressive architecture creates rooms flooded with light with energy-efficient, natural ventilation.
Individual offices and filing cabinets have given way to think tanks, mobile workstations and a paperless way of working. From now on, people will meet in staff lounges for casual exchanges or breaks. Personal ‘lockers’ by werner works help employees to settle in and organise their lives more easily around working hours. Sports clothes, a change of shoes, or shopping from the lunch break can all be optimally stored and safely locked away. The monitors integrated into the storage space also provide up-to-date information on current events. With their clear, cubic design language, the
‘R-Modules’ structure the open-plan office spaces in the ‘open office’ concept and provide a clear boundary between functional areas such as printers, copiers and wardrobe elements. The three-file-high ‘basic S sliding door cupboards’ provide space for central storage and stand-up communication areas.
