Social and ecological responsibility in connection with economic success have been the basis of our actions for more than 70 years.

We assess the topic of “ecology” comprehensively and holistically. For werner works, sustainable thinking and acting has therefore become an integral part of our company philosophy and is used in practice in every area of the company.

Durable and timeless

As early as the product development stage, attention is paid to the use of environmentally friendly, durable and recyclable materials and components. The use of new materials and production processes is carefully checked and assessed in advance with regard to its effects and disposal. The components of the products from werner works are sourced exclusively from certified, qualified and preferably regional companies. The individual components are reversible and can ultimately be recycled. Our products are also of measurably high quality, timeless design and a long service life. The durability of our products is the best guarantee for the economical use of resources.

Sustainable Energy

From the start, our production is designed for minimal waste. The remaining wood waste that arises during production is also thermally reused. This energy generation is mainly used to heat our facilities and to generate the process heat required for production.

As a result, we can dispense with the consumption of fossil fuels and thus make a significant contribution to improving our CO2 balance.

werner works strives for CO2-neutral production as soon as possible.

A building block for this is the new photovoltaic system on the production halls. The generated electrical energy is used for the company's own use and for the charging stations of the e-cars. The additional electrical energy that is purchased is exclusively electricity from renewable energy sources.

Shipment

The environmental aspects extend to the shipping of the products and beyond. During transport, our furniture is mainly protected by felt covers or delivered with recyclable packaging material. Electronic tour planning that controls the production process leads to the guarantee of optimal loading and resource-saving delivery. For this reason, werner works is certified with the "Certificate resources SAVED 2023".
