With the redesign of the staff room at Stormarn School in Ahrensburg, a contemporary working environment has been created that meets the needs of a growing teaching staff. The aim of the project was to transform existing structures and develop spaces that support both focused work and communication.
The planning is based on a zoned spatial concept that enables different ways of working. Open areas for teamwork, retreat spaces for individual tasks, and communicative meeting points are interconnected, allowing for flexible use in everyday school life. The project was realized in close collaboration with the specialist dealer gärtner from Hamburg. Together, a tailored solution was developed that combines planning, functionality, and design.
By integrating functional work zones with communicative areas, the result is an environment that meets the demands of modern workplaces while addressing the specific needs of a school.
Customized and configured solutions from the werner works modular system were used for the furnishings. In particular, the basic S x lockers were developed specifically for the project, offering a functional combination of different storage concepts with a clear design language. They support the organization of the staff room while also contributing to the spatial structure.
The concept is complemented by a post shelving system that facilitates internal communication, as well as cloakroom elements that integrate seamlessly into the spatial layout. All components follow a consistent design language, creating a calm and well-organized overall appearance.
